Hi. I’m MariLeigh “Ellie” Crane. I started writing The Mountain a long time ago. An embarrassingly long time ago. I posted chapters on Literotica before it was complete. The relationship at the center of the story always made sense to me and it hasn’t changed much over the years. But the bigger structure, the world of the Dark Alpha, kept growing and changing. It was exciting. It also made The Mountain harder and harder to finish.
The good news? The world from that original story has sprawled into something dark and twisted and really, really cool. I have written one full novel in the world that I’m now editing (not Mountain.) And I’ve outlined two more. I’ve also picked up the pieces of The Mountain (with the help of a fantastic writing buddy) and it’s creeping slowly towards a conclusion.
I created this website because I thought readers who have enjoyed the story might like to explore further where things are going. That said, I know it’s a little, uh…bold? to build out an entire website for one unfinished story.
Thing thing is, I have so many stories to tell. And it would be such a privilege if you wanted to get excited about them with me! If you’re curious about what’s coming, you can share your email below. I plan to start a mailing list if there is interest! You can also leave me a note on the form.
